The Bishop of Edmonton invites applications for the full time position of Rector of St. Timothy’s in Edmonton

St. Timothy’s is a progressive, welcoming parish, committed to the faith and each other, with a dedicated music program. They are a community hub and their vision for the future of St. Timothy’s includes preserving the rich history of St. Timothy’s in traditional worship, engaging scriptural study and music. They desire to see their traditions balanced with a commitment to being an affirming parish, ongoing community connections, and a spirit of continuing revitalization and growth.

They seek a Rector with experience in:

Visionary leadership:

  • Identify strengths within the congregation and collaborate to set and communicate a clear vision how St Timothy’s church may continue to grow and flourish

Collaboration and Outreach:

  • Revitalize outreach and retention of all ages in our parish, leveraging stakeholder relationships to demonstrate the importance of St Timothy’s role in the larger community

Pastoral care:

  • Empathy and humility in dealing with those in need

Business acumen:

  • Stewardship of giving, and strong processes to manage the financial and physical assets

Worship and sacraments:

  • Strength in delivery of continuing education through various means to deepen spiritual development of the congregation
