Part-time Director of Music – St. Paul the Apostle, Rexdale.
St. Paul the Apostle, Rexdale, is looking for a talented, creative, passionate, positive
person who can assume the music leadership at our church.
Position Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for playing the organ/ piano during worship
services and special events, as well as directing the church choir. We are seeking
someone with a strong background in different musical genres—who can engage our
diverse community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide organ/ piano music for Sunday worship and other occasions during the church calendar
year,
- Rehearse, and direct the choir in practices between September and June. Day and time to be
determined,
- Collaborate with clergy to plan service music,
- Foster a welcoming and worshiping musical atmosphere, and
- Engage other musicians who can enhance our church musical experience.
Qualifications
- Proven skill as an organist with experience in both traditional and contemporary music,
- Experience directing a choir (church or community choirs is an asset),
- Ability to work with singers of all skill levels,
- Strong organizational and communication skills and,
- Formal music education or equivalent experience preferred.

- This is a Part-time position; hours and remuneration to be discussed.
- Our location: St. Paul the Apostle, Rexdale, North Etobicoke, Ontario.
- Start date: October 2025.
- Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications, as suggested by the RCCO salary
scale.
