Called to Life ~ Compelled to Love

Bishop Susan Bell invites applications for the full-time position of Rector of the Church of the Nativity, Hamilton.

The Church of the Nativity is a vibrant and faithful parish within the Diocese of Niagara, rooted in East Hamilton and committed to embodying God’s mission of love in its local community. Although the amalgamated and renamed parish of the Church of the Nativity is only 20 years old, it draws on a rich parish history in East Hamilton spanning nearly 150 years. Grounded in its mission “to make Jesus known,” the parish seeks to embody the presence of Christ both within the congregation and throughout the wider community.

The parish seeks a rector who will provide faithful and collaborative leadership, fostering spiritual growth and supporting the continued development of ministries that are welcoming, energetic, and rooted in the teachings of Christ, both within the parish and in the wider community.

Clergy of the Anglican Church of Canada and those in full communion are invited to apply. The position offers a stipend and housing allowance ($76,000-$86,000 annually, stipend portion based on year of ordination), and a comprehensive benefits package, including pension, medical and dental coverage, and access to an employee assistance program.

As you explore the parish profile and this overview of their ministry, Bishop Bell prays that you may sense the leading of the Holy Spirit to join this faithful community in its ongoing journey. May God’s richest blessings be upon you in your discernment.
