We are seeking a dedicated Director of Music Ministry to enrich our worship services through choral and instrumental music, fostering congregational participation and supporting the Anglican tradition. The successful candidate will provide leadership and support for our music ministry, adapting to liturgical seasons and parish goals. We are seeking someone with a strong background in different musical genres—who can engage our diverse community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be fully trained to incorporate and use a pipe organ as well as piano
  • Select, prepare, and play music for Sunday and special services in consultation with the Incumbent.
  • Communicate music selections to administrative and audiovisual staff for service materials.
  • Lead and develop the choir and worship band through weekly rehearsals (September–June).
  • Recruit new members from the church and community; coordinate guest musicians as needed.
  • Attend staff meetings and collaborate with parish leadership.
  • Arrange music for weddings and funerals (additional fees apply).
  • Manage annual music budget and expenses, with support from the Wardens.

Qualifications

  • Proven skill as an organist with experience in both traditional and contemporary music,
  • Experience in choral and instrumental music leadership.
  • Understanding of Anglican liturgical traditions.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to recruit, mentor, and inspire musicians.
  • Commitment to parish and diocesan policies.

Three weeks paid vacation (July/August), plus two Sundays for professional development.
Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications
Additional fees for weddings and funerals.
No benefits included.
