Incumbent Priest, Church of the Epiphany, Diocese of Algoma

The Diocese of Algoma is inviting applications for the position of full-time Incumbent Priest at the Church of the Epiphany in downtown Sudbury, Ontario.

The Church of the Epiphany is an open, inclusive and loving Anglican community whose vision is “to be a beacon of hope, located in downtown Sudbury, which demonstrates the love of Christ for all people.”

Epiphany is a single-point parish with a deep appreciation for the beauty and richness of Anglican worship and a strong sacred music tradition. The parish is seeking an open and energetic priest who will cherish these traditions while helping the congregation continue to grow in faith, prayer, discipleship and its understanding of what it means to be the Church in downtown Sudbury.

The parish has strong and collaborative lay leadership and active ministries in worship, pastoral care, outreach, music, spiritual life, fellowship and community engagement. Located in the heart of downtown Sudbury, Epiphany is also discerning how it can respond faithfully to the realities of poverty, homelessness, isolation and other forms of vulnerability within its neighbourhood.

The successful incumbent will be called to provide spiritual and pastoral leadership, thoughtful preaching and teaching, and encouragement as the congregation explores new opportunities for ministry, community engagement and growth.
