REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager
SCOPE: Supporting in the day-to-day operation of a fully integrated maintenance program with a focus on employing advanced technologies to maintain a safe and comfortable environment at multiple sites for St. George’s on-the-Hill Anglican Church, including the Kingsway College School (KCS) facility at 4600 Dundas St West, Etobicoke, ON.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAJOR DUTIES:
- Assist with the management of the building’s computerized systems, including Building Automation HVAC System (BAS), Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) / Facility Management Software (FMS), Security Software and Autodesk Suite;
- Facilitate the revamping and modernisation of inventory and maintenance systems;
- Maintain room request and set-up system; set up and take down furniture and equipment for functions and events;
- Respond promptly to service requests from all users of facilities;
- Assist with the maintenance of inventory control of equipment, furniture and building’s housekeeping supplies;
- Maintain building maintenance logs and records;
- Conduct routine, non-licenced inspections of facilities including fire, mechanical, and HVAC equipment;
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to buildings and facilities including carpentry, painting, electrical and mechanical work;
- Assist with coordination of major maintenance and repair as required to electrical and mechanical systems as well as structural repairs of the buildings in accordance with preventive maintenance plan;
- Perform minor ground care maintenance including parking lot, sidewalks and playgrounds;
- Develop a functional and constructive relationship with Facility Staff and Contractors;
- Perform any other duties as may be required from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of five years of building maintenance or related experience;
- Demonstrated strong time management skills; the ability to work under pressure and to manage deadlines; and the ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities;
- Ability to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders: staff, students and parents of KCS; staff, management and parishioners of St. George’s Church on-the-Hill; as well as outside contractors;
- Willingness to lift and pull equipment and furniture, and to work outside in all weather conditions;
- Ability to work flexible hours and holidays and weekends, as required.
- Valid Class G driver’s licence is required.
