ABOUT US

SJYM is an Anglican church in the York Mills neighbourhood of Toronto with a rich history dating back to 1816, reflected in part within its cemetery, which includes a memorial to the First World War Battle of Vimy Ridge.

Today, the church is a stable, inter-generational faith community, weighted in numbers towards older parishioners, but including some younger adults and families, and striving for more.

In 2023, the parish adopted The Way Forward Action Plan with a commitment to be “Christ in Community” and to grow the church through expanded community outreach, ministry for life’s journey, increased belonging, and refreshed worship.

The church, located on beautiful park-like grounds, was recently renovated and restored to provide contemporary meeting space and facilities for community engagement and connection.
