The Rt. Rev. Samuel Rose is accepting applications for the position of Priest-in-Charge. This position is a full-time stipendiary one-year contractual position with the possibility of renewal and accommodation provided by a rectory.

The Parish of Labrador West serves the western Labrador communities of Labrador City and Wabush. The church and rectory are located in the Town of Labrador City. St. Paul’s Anglican congregation shares the church building with the congregation of Carol United Church. The Parish has a ministry team comprising two non-stipendiary priests and a dedicated laity who help support the various ministries in the Parish. Labrador West is a vibrant community that spans all demographics and offers many amenities often found only in larger centers.

What kind of clergy do we seek:

  • A faithful disciple and servant of Jesus Christ who can lead, be confident in your gifts and work with others in a team setting.
  • Good communication skills, sense of humour, and a collaborative “can do” approach to ministry;
  • Enthusiasm for developing lay ministry;
  • Comfortable with traditional and innovative styles of worship;
  • Keen to develop that engage with their community in sharing the Gospel;
  • Able to develop relationships through pastoral care and visitation.
