The General Synod of The Anglican Church of Canada is seeking:

ACCOUNTANT – Accounts Receivable & Payroll (2 days / week)

Salary: Starting at $22 385.20 based on experience (prorated from full-time salary of $55 963)
Part-time role – 14 hours per week (2 days)

This position does not attract pension or benefits.

Office located in downtown Toronto near the Bloor / Yonge subway station. Occasional opportunities to work from home anticipated.

This position is responsible for;

  • Accounts Receivable (A/R) invoicing, collection, and reconciliations.
  • Monthly payroll and related accounting activities for approximately 50 employees
  • Additional activities such as reporting, analysis, supporting audits, administering specialized programs, and providing back up support to other team members.

We are looking for someone with:

  • relevant degree or diploma or equivalent
  • approximately 3 years progressively responsible experience in accounting and / or payroll
  • solid understanding of payroll legislation required
  • demonstrated expertise with Excel is required.
  • PayWorks or other payroll program experience will also be considered.
